Eve Arnold died last wednesday. She was 99. Born in 1912, she met Marylin Monroe in the first years of the fifties and then a decade of photographic friendship resulted in some of the most moving, intimate and eternal pictures of the absolute idol of the the last century (and not sure she won't stay the ultimate idol of the occidental history). The last series, captured during the dramatic filming of The Misfits, is one of the most harrowing of the star's career. Here some of her most famous, erotic or touching shots of Marylin.
